Affordable, Sustainable Streetwear Made With 100% GOTS Certified Cotton

Buying sustainable streetwear benefits both for the individual and the environment

Fast fashion has a terrible impact on the environment, and it’s also known for often mistreating workers in poorer countries. When looking for streetwear, it’s always worth seeking our brands that care about sustainability and are committed to treating their staff with respect.

Sustainable streetwear also tends to be of higher quality. Brands like Goliath XXL focus on eco-friendly materials which result  in longer-lasting clothing that resists wear and tear, therefore reducing the need for you to replace them frequently.

Above is one of our popular hoodies for men, which is made using bold vegan red ink. This Dare to Believe Hoodie is made using 100% organic cotton and features our distinctive logo. Priced at only £39.99, it will make a fantastic gift this festive season.

Streetwear brands dedicated to sustainability often invest in research and development for new, more eco-friendly materials and production methods. Our team is currently looking into investing in education and training around sustainability and ethics in fashion.

In particular, we look to give a percentage of the profits to community trusts, partners and charities that promote youth activism, wellbeing and the local economy.

Buying sustainably can help you encourage larger companies and influence market trends, potentially leading to more widespread change.

All our streetwear at Goliath XXI is produced using GOTS-certified cotton (Global Organic Textile Standard).

GOTS ensures that textiles are made from organic fibres and meet strict criteria regarding their production, including both environmental and social aspects.

GOTS certification covers various aspects of the production process, including the cultivation of the cotton, the restricted use of chemicals, the processing, manufacturing and labelling of the clothing. It ensures that the entire supply chain, from harvesting the raw materials to the final product, meets high environmental and social standards.

From the ink we use to deploying energy-efficient machines, Goliath XXI ensures we reduce our impact on the environment wherever possible. We also make sure our factory workers are protected by the Fair Wear Foundation.

The Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving labour conditions in the garment and textile industry. It was established in 1999 in the Netherlands. This organisation collaborates with companies, factories, trade unions, NGOs, and governments to work towards better labour practices and ensure fair treatment for workers in the global garment industry.

What kind of ink is used for producing our streetwear?

Petroleum oil based inks are used throughout the fashion industry. They also usually contain a range of animal products. Not only are vegetable inks kinder to animals, they are sustainable and make the recycling process easier.

We use vegetable and soy-based inks to produce our affordable clothing. Unlike the petroleum-based ink used in mass production, it doesn’t contain any heavy metals like lead and mercury.

It’s our aim to produce affordable and sustainable streetwear that enhances the lives of those who wear them.

Another way we reduce our carbon footprint is  by manufacturing locally. To do this, we are connecting with sustainability hubs in Northern England. By purchasing our sustainable streetwear, you will also be supporting innovation in the fashion industry.

This Moby Hat is made using recycled fisherman yarn, with embroidery made with Vegan Thread derived from wood pulp. It’s a great stocking filler for anyone who needs help staying warm this winter.

Our streetwear makes a fantastic Christmas gift for anyone who cares about the environment.

Among our range you’ll find excellent products for men and women, including t-shirts, hoodies, joggers, shorts, hats and vests. Our designs take inspiration from a variety of sources including New York graffiti, with it being the city our founder grew up in.
